Embracing Growth: Reigniting through Experimentation and Vulnerability

Bringing us full circle, 'To Reignite' reconnects with the analogy of your 'Garden of Life' discussed in my earlier piece: Nurture Your Garden of Life with Intention.

Through Rerooting (Transformative Journey of Rerooting), we carve out the space to intentionally plant the seeds we want to grow.

Through Recreating (Infusing Creativity & Imagination to Embrace the Unknown), we begin to build habits and identify the skills we need to purposefully nurture and grow the seeds we have planted.

What do our daily lives need to look like for us to grow and expand?

Like all things in nature, there are obstacles which come up along the way. I refer to these as weeds.

Weeds manifest in multiple ways, often deeply rooted, taking up energy and space. Identifying and clearing weeds should be a conscious process, one of recognition and release.

We are learning not only to observe the inevitable reappearance of weeds but also how to clear and untangle them before they impede our growth and expansion.

“Change and uncertainty will always cause initial resistance – that’s normal. It is part of being human. But you don’t have to stay there.” You can always choose the mindset of possibility." Nataly Kogan

To Reignite is to build on the solid foundations of connection, self-trust, curiosity, and creativity we have cultivated, it is where we begin to experiment.

It is our space to be messy, wild, and free, open to making mistakes; and to learn from the conscious actions we are taking toward our life’s passion.

“It’s the ability to be tough and tender, excited and scared, brave and afraid - all in the same moment. It’s showing up in our vulnerability and our courage, being both fierce and kind.” Brene Brown

As we Reignite, we take a holistic look at our garden and notice the areas that are flourishing, igniting our intuitions and inspirations.

Are there areas that aren't growing as we'd hoped? If so, we allow ourselves to be curious. We can ask why and consider whether those areas need more attention, time, or a conscious shift in our daily patterns.

Viewing our lives through the lens of a garden transforms it into a natural experiment.

We have the freedom to select the seeds we plant, nurture the ones we desire to grow, and opt for change and evolution. Just because we've planted one seed doesn't mean we can't experiment with something new.

The more we can allow flow and fluidity into our lives, the better we can witness life's natural rhythm. By purposefully cultivating a life garden rooted in who we truly are, we are able to create and nurture our authentic selves, developing the courage to be who we are truly meant to be.

"There is always light. If only we're brave enough to see it. If only we're brave enough to be it." Amanda Gorman
