Fight for your dreams. You will find a way.

Updated: Apr 2

I have been an avid open water swimmer for a good few years now; so when the Netflix film, Nyad, came out recently, I watched it with great vehemence.

It filled me with inspiration, motivation, and courage; creating an energy within that made me feel fearless.

I realised when we can visualise and connect with our dreams; it establishes a fire, a light, an energy deep within us that becomes impossible to ignore.

It anchors us to what truly matters, and steers us when we do not know which way to go.

Often we feel out at sea; waves crashing around us, some so big we cannot see over them, others pulling us back to the familiarity of the shore we just ventured from.

Unknown creatures lurk beneath and around us, many we have never encountered before; some will sting, some offer an exhilarating experience and others simply pass by.

There are times we lose our way with unexpected undercurrents; but nothing is ever without reason.

There is always something to learn, always something to observe, always an opportunity to get curious and explore.

The path we had in mind rarely transpires.

Without intrigue, unknowns and unexpected lessons to learn along the way, there wouldn’t be any self-discovery or an opportunity to see things from a different perspective.

Finding our way is all part of it.

Keep fuelling your inner fire with curiosity and openness to the possibilities of what lies ahead. All of it. The waves, the creatures, the currents. Let yourself go with the flow, see where it takes you.
