What stops us from taking the first step

Updated: Apr 2

Nature has a remarkable way of showing us when it is time to transition.

Trees shed their leaves, some plants stop growing and others even change their appearance to adapt. Naturally embracing transformation to survive, absorbing essential minerals, and reserving energy for what is to come.

Just like the trees, we can consciously adapt to what gives us energy and evolve towards the path we want to take; personal growth requires us to shed what is no longer serving us and daringly step towards what is.

Tuning into the seasonal changes of nature often shines a light on how rigid we hold ourselves through the year. Not allowing ourselves the grace to ebb and flow with what is, or the opportunity to gently nudge at the edge of our comfort zone.

Usually, this is because we cloak ourselves in fear of the unknown, racing ahead to assumptions built on self-doubt and insecurities. We forget to continue to tune in to the initial flicker of inspiration, energy or voice that we felt in the first place.

That flicker is our inner compass and, if we can learn to trust it, it will guide us exactly where we need to go.

If you can, take some time to reflect on the road you have travelled so far, find the lessons and tune into the shifts you want to make.

Let nature be your guide to dare greatly.

We have the power to manifest any vision we dare to dream.

Often, the first step that is the most challenging.

This has come up a lot in conversations with my clients. Specifically, the following three themes:

  • Not knowing how

  • Lack of confidence

  • Not having enough time

If the above resonates with you, use the link below to access some useful tips and tools to get you started.

I'd love to hear from you, if you are experiencing other challenges in taking your first step, let me know, I'd love to connect!
